Position: Pilot Astronaut
Description: Pilot astronauts will control the onboard flight operations of some of America's most advanced spacecraft in accordance with all company and government contractor guidelines and procedures. You will fly America's intrepid explorers to their postings onboard the International Space Station on Low Earth Orbit. Preference granted to veterans and civil service.
Requirements:
1,000 PIC Jet Time, preferably in high thrust to weight ratio aircraft
Federal Aviation Administration Commercial Certificate, ATP to show competitive flight qualifications
Graduate work in engineering or physics
Ability to pass comphrehensive "astronaut physical"
Ability to sustain up to three gravitational forces on a consistent basis
