My fellow Prooners, can you help? With regards to doing ground studies for a P.P.L., are the packs with all the info on c.d.-roms any good, or is it best to stick to the "old" method, i.e. head in a book?
Thanks in anticipation. N.Z.

I found the cd's excellent, except nav, where the book is better

I thought the CDs were great, but if you are concentrating hard I found my eyes closing too often ! I used the books as well, but tended to read them after I had gone through the CDs in order to enable me to read a particulary hard section several times over more easily. I also found the PPL Confuser invaluable and www.airquiz.com (http://www.airquiz.com) was excellent.

Good luck and happy flying!

I use the CDs as a back-up to my reading but the question databases are very good. Around 130 questions per subject and worth a solid hour or so of your time. Of course, you can only do that once...:hmm:

I started with the books, tried the cds for the more difficult subjects, tried ebay for Q&A and of course I used the confuser
