Evening Chaps,

After much deliberation I have finally decided that I can't stand this useless English weather any longer - I'm off to Egnatia Aviation in Greece to complete my PPL at the beginning of May.

What I would like to know is what are the fundamental differences between the UK and Greece in terms of airspace classifications, VFR minima, radio calls and services, airfield joining procedures and circuits? I also intend to do a couple of days touring after passing my PPL, and so can anyone recommend any worthwhile places to visit within a couple of hours flight time from Kavala, perhaps somewhere to stop overnight?

Cheers,

Ox

Just a quick extra - would anyone happen to know where I could find an online checklist for the DA-40 TDI?

Greece is no problem - except that not many airports have avgas and customs. There are also no VFR charts; you have to use the 1998 ONC G3 chart and mark it up, or go IFR. The usual entry point is Corfu LGKR.

I've sent you a PM.
