Remember the heroic exploits of the Tristar crew with their ASI - Falklands Christmas run ? . . . . well the 74 crew found a watch on the bar-b-que beer table the following morning at ASI and nobody ever seemed to want to claim it.
We know the Timmy boys cut crew rest time to the minimum but did this mean having to throw away all their watches !?!
It could possibly be valuable as it say's it's a Cartier . . but then again it might be a cheap imitation from down route and not worth the effort.
But just in case it is a real one . . and just in case it might have been left by 216 . . . then if anybody knows of any of the 216 Christmas crew that might have lost it then perhaps you can let us know on here.
Needless to say, if it is valuable then copious beers will need to be handed over in exchange !

How come it's taken three months to report it? Has the battery just gone flat?:}

They probably do not have the instructions for putting it forward an hour.:ok:

We assumed it might have been a local squaddy's watch ( you know, all that LOA they get ? ) but nobody wanted to claim it.

Follow on crew got no better luck in tracing an owner.

Later we tried a Google on 216 Sqn and got a website that looked promising . . but that's all it was . . promising but nothing else. Turned out to be dated and defunct ( the website that is )

Then someone suggested old Pruney. Worth a shot we thought.
If no joy then we can always try e-bay I guess ! :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Happy Flying :ok:

This watch story reminds me of watching a certain porno movie on Battle Flight at Wilders in '82 - suddenly my crewmate announces "Holy $&%, that stud's wearing an aircrew watch!"
