How do you calculate RAS/CAS (depending where you are from in the world)? Is there ever a need to? Do you just accept that the IAS is close enough?
TO save a few the trouble of asking, RAS/CAS is rectified/calibrated airspeed.

Look in the POH for the PEC value.

IIRC, with the "old" instrument set you can't.
Note that RAS/CAS is IAS corrected for manouvre/position error. Only the "new" ADC (Air Data Computer) can compensate for this.

It might be possible to have a correction card, just like the compass heading to magnetic heading card. Not sure if this is used, though.

Always standing be be corrected.
