Hi

does anybody know the app. number of actual SAR cases for the last years in Sumburgh. Were they mostly at sea or also mountain and just medical flights to the islands?

It's not secret, just manners. About 70 jobs a year, mainly rig and island casevacs and some vessels of various sorts. Good bunch of lads up there but bloody remote, cheap flights to the mainland will keep you sane. Good luck.:ok:

Actually it's a bit more than that, last year it was over 100.

Ok a busyish year, but the average from year to year is, I believe 70-80.

You'd be better off asking all your questions to someone on the unit in Sumburgh. You should give them a phone, tell them who you are and ask away!

They're a good bunch of guys and I'm sure they will be happy to help.

You can get the number off the bristow website at www.bristowgroup.com (http://www.bristowgroup.com) .
