I see a few thread questions regarding aircraft, pilots etc. who are or have done movie work.
Sometimes they actually get named in the credits. If so and your interested in whos who, you can find those names via a great database out there.
www.imdb.com
Look up the Movie by title, then scroll down on the credits to (more) expand things and you may find their names.
The site is also great for Movie buffs as you can find out about all your favorites there.
Have fun, never know whos name will show up....ha ha

I've looked through the info on all my favorite films with good heli sequences.

I would like to know if any of the movie pilots frequent this forum and can tell us about things they did in the films? I reckon they'd be too busy to log onto here!!

There might just be a clue in "never know whose name will show up....ha ha".

Lots of guys do this kind of work. Just sort of fun to get an "atta boy" once in a while.

CYA in Orlando.

I've done a few films but only been noted in the credits once :{ .
Nice to get your name up in lights so to speak but to guanrantee it, you have to be the aerial co-ordinator (more glamour!).
It's a lot of standing around interdispersed with lots of hectic but good fun, I always enjoyed it very much

Here's another but his credits here do not do his volume of work justice:

Unless you input enough to be described as an Aerial Coordinator it is going to cost you or you company some ‘dosh’. Whenever I have asked for a mention in the credits it has been regarded as a negotiating tool for a discount. We are not that vane as to need the ‘credit’ but we are greedy enough to want all of the good money that a film job brings.

I have noted that when I have been at the movies and seen some decent aerial shots and decide to watch the credits to see who the heli-pilot was, that the projectionist usually switches his machine off, and the cleaning crew comes in, before I can find out.

BRASSEMUP: I just happened to work for a company that had Bell 205's which have been used quite a lot in films, we were contracted out to Flying Pictures amongst others.
DUNARUNNA: That's bold talk for a one eyed fat man...pray tell which films they were and why wasn't I credited??? :{ ..and most of all how come you were watching them!!;) ...c'mon out yourself.
