Hi all,
First time poster in this forum, so please be gentle! I did a search and didn't find this topic covered, so here goes.
Skype and other VOIP services are illegal in the UAE for reasons unknown beyond protection of the local telecoms industry. Some areas of Dubai don't use the Etisalat (near-monopoly telecom company) server and were, until now, free of blocks on Skype.
As of a couple of days ago, Skype has been blocked on the non-Etisalat server. For those of us with close family overseas, this is a major problem!
Does anyone know of a way around the block?
