Hi all,

Just read the gallstones thread and wondered if there were people out there who had suffered from kidney stones and been treated for them and how it affected their medical status ?

I've had one removed - and am due to have another removed very soon now. How does this affect your medical status ? I'm not going to fly solo until it's all sorted..but are there any longer lasting restrictions ?

I'm waiting for my AME to call me back but until then thought I'd ask here.

thanks

An update for you all (in case anyone else is looking)
Kidney stones are taken very seriously by the CAA - and they result in immediate suspension of your medical. There is a matrix on the CAA website (search for Kidney stones and you'll find the info) that provides you with the route to getting re-certified.
I'll update this later after I've spoken to my consultant doing the Op - until then I'm grounded
