I had heard of this sort of thing going on in the US, but in Australia? Too far methinks.

I've heard a rumour that the T-shirt comes from a shop that offers you a free flight if you are denied boarding while wearing one of their T-shirts.

So there may be a little more to this than meets the eye, particularly as the report suggests that the individual had previously had problems with a T-shirt that he was wearing.

And the fact that he made a point of going up to the staff at the gate and making an issue of it. Seems a publicity seeker.
