Somewhere deep in a secret loch in the highlands of Scotland, one of our intrepid spies spotted this attempt by the Scottish Navy to develop an indigenous Shipboard helicopter ASW capability.
When questioned in a local watering hole, Wee Jock, the pilot was heard to say that the deck landings weren't as bad as the over-the-water hovering in the middle of the night...

Tpical offshore pilot....left his blades stopped in exactly the wrong position and thus blocks the helipad for the second aircraft. The GOM operators would have two aircraft working off that barge.:uhoh:

Jock assured us he owns a copy of Intl Chamber of Shipping Guide to Helo/Ship Ops....

to stop the starboard outer piece of four by two from rocking.....

The barge actually started moored up, but was chased across the loch by the R22 trying to land. Local news reports of the luckless monster...
