Hi all,

Quick question. I'm flying Dub to Cork in the morning around 8:55am with Ryan Air and absolutely MUST be in Cork for 11am. Given the mad weather at the momennt I'm thinking of getting the train instead in case the flight is delayed or cancelled due to the weather.

Am I being too prudent? What should I do?

If I absolutely had to be at a given place at 11.00am there is no way that I'd take a flight that left 2 hours and 5 minutes before.

I'd have opted for a flight the night before, if that had been cancelled for any resaon it would give me enough time arrange to either drive or take another form of public transport.

Obviously it's a question for you to decide how much time and money you would be prepared to spend to absolutely guarantee you'll be there on time.

Good luck !

Thanks for that!!

I think the train is looking good even though it means I get up earlier, arrive later and throw away the cost of the flights.
