Spotted at low Alt.heading NNE over Gloucestershire Wednesday. Large jet transport with several jet escorts. I heard it but never managed to get a visible as it was so low and we're surrounded by trees. :{
Was this you in your day job? Cheers. :)

VV strong jets yesterday, we had 130 KTS jet from the west yesterday at FL280....

May have been routeing Via KEF/Prestwick for an extra spurt of gas prior to pond crossing?

Perhaps because north(ish) is the way to go?

The Great Circle track from Brize to Nellis passes over North Wales and Northern Ireland, the southern tip of Greenland and then Labrador, Manitoba and into the US in North Dakota.

The first wave of GR4s went from Brize and across South Wales (Right over St Athan) and down through AARA12 enroute Lajes.
The second wave of GR4s shortly afterwards routed down through Devon and Cornwall on TR1 to Lands End then to Lajes.

Tonka - Originally completely made of metal, then in the '80s plastic was introduced.... pateewee!. What is the world coming to, plastic toys. Ooh I guess we now have the Typhoon and sooon to get the F-35 Dave. Wonder how much steel is in those toys.

:D CONGRATULATIONS:D

All posters on this thread have won pprune's biannual "most banal thread" competition. Against stiff competition from "Missing Squadrons" and "Wings and CS95", this thread shone through as having absolutely no redeeming features.

Well done all of you!!

Why shouldn't it be advertised? Will the flight plans submitted be top secret? Are trails now something to be talked about in a hushed voice?

Timmy/Tommys being escorted by Tonkas flying low over anyones house would get you looking up. Colpa mia for getting the presumed heading wrong by 180 degrees. Must get a needle for this compass! :rolleyes: Thanks chaps from the trade in question for their feedback which is appreciated.:)
