SOPs are there to help mitigate, but I doubt that there's an SOP for cleaning jizz off the EADI.

If you think about it, a large part of the qualification to be a commercial pilot involves the ability to anticipate, understand and take responsibility for the consequences of one's decisions and actions.

On the surface of it, it would seem this fellow should start looking for something to do with freight, because the liability of his employers for ANY air-carriage incident involving passengers and him could be nearly infinite following this public demonstration of poor judgement. Nothing of this sort will EVER be forgotten in the computer era.

As an employer, I can tell you that the mistake he made with his truncheon meat photos is that both he and his place of employment (the cockpit) were clearly identifiable and inextricably linked, thus making it an HR issue over his judgement, integrity, legal awareness, commercial awareness, and general business acumen. If he was just showing off his towel rail in some dreadfully seedy place (Like the House of Lords) it would not have been so much of an issue.

He does however score bonus points for a well starched and crisp white shirt.

(PS the really BIG ones with windows in aren't armed, it's the smaller, single or twin seaters - usually silver or grey - which you have to look out for (though to be honest you'd probably not see them if they really WERE out to shoot you down). Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.)

I'd also like to say that the article suggests that he was specifically asked by the anonymous lady on the net to send a photo of him in that particular pose. Whether he should of sent it is a misjudgement but does anyone actually know if this was an OPEN forum or a private chat??
