Once did a straw poll amongst a mixed bunch of guys and gals at my local - question was who had, or does, w*nk at work. Result was almost 80% in the affirmative, but, taking snappies of just yerself doing it ain't on! G-CPTN 8th Dec 2006, 18:22 You pals must have been bosses. Most of our bosses were w@<hidden> arcniz 8th Dec 2006, 18:28 If you think about it, a large part of the qualification to be a commercial pilot involves the ability to anticipate, understand and take responsibility for the consequences of one's decisions and actions. On the surface of it, it would seem this fellow should start looking for something to do with freight, because the liability of his employers for ANY air-carriage incident involving passengers and him could be nearly infinite following this public demonstration of poor judgement. Nothing of this sort will EVER be forgotten in the computer era. Loose rivets 8th Dec 2006, 18:32 In pianist's terms, WTF has happened to the 5th finger of his right hand? Perhaps he's practicing for a genteeeeeeeeeeel cup of tea afterwards. Tim Bucks= UT Pilot 8th Dec 2006, 18:43 i have no sympathy for him what so ever. Being a commercial pilot is a highly competetive job and if you've worked so hard to get it why take pictures of your pork sword in the flight deck? It makes me sick G-CPTN 8th Dec 2006, 18:46 A fine upstanding member of the flight-deck crew. Capt. Queeg 8th Dec 2006, 18:52 i have no sympathy for him what so ever. Being a commercial pilot is a highly competetive job and if you've worked so hard to get it why take pictures of your pork sword in the flight deck? It makes me sick Because you can. One day, young Timothy, when you're much older, you'll realise that being a pilot isn't just about operating the aircraft... there cums that day for all of us when the urge to get ya cawk out in-flight is too much to resist. VFE 8th Dec 2006, 19:01 I don't feel sorry for him. He obviously has an ego as big as his pleasure probosis. One could put it down to his being a yoof; being a pilot is no better or worse than being a bus driver. That posting, to me, just highlights the jealousy that someone is up against when they have the courage to follow their dreams of becoming an airline pilot - everyone is out to shoot you down. Granted, ole matey-boy coulda done without giving people the ammunition but for gawds sake, please make your minds up guys - do airline pilots have this huge responsibility or, are they simply bus drivers? If the latter is the case then why the concern about his suitability to fly people from A-B? Either way, you've got them nailed haven't you? VFE. Re-entry 8th Dec 2006, 19:35 There's some stiff opposition waiting to take his position. Two's in 8th Dec 2006, 20:44 It makes me sick ...that's because you haven't learned to suppress your gag reflex... Also adds fuel to the old adage about the difference between cockpits and hedghogs being that hedgehogs have the pricks on the outside. As an employer, I can tell you that the mistake he made with his truncheon meat photos is that both he and his place of employment (the cockpit) were clearly identifiable and inextricably linked, thus making it an HR issue over his judgement, integrity, legal awareness, commercial awareness, and general business acumen. If he was just showing off his towel rail in some dreadfully seedy place (Like the House of Lords) it would not have been so much of an issue. He does however score bonus points for a well starched and crisp white shirt. What a knob (that's censure, not praise). Tubbs 8th Dec 2006, 21:41 Two's in - what a great post. Puns, political, polemic. Has anyone noticed that his watch doesn't tally up with the reported time of occurence? small_dog 8th Dec 2006, 22:35 Poor guy, we all make mistakes, though maybe not as public as this. I really hope he does not lose his job. As VFE says, hopefully it will only be talked about for a short time before being forgotten (or eclipsed by the next embarassing faux pas committed by someone else) McAero 8th Dec 2006, 22:46 do airline pilots have this huge responsibility or, are they simply bus drivers? I'm pretty sure if a bus driver behaved this way then he'd be sacked. Dirty Den was sacked from Easties for similar things at work too remember. This is not acceptable. End of. No ifs. No buts. No excuses. I'd be sacked. You'd be sacked. Does being a pilot make you untouchable? No. fernytickles 8th Dec 2006, 22:51 He'd probably make a lot more money if he took up modelling and starring in porn movies - then he could wave his tadger around with abandon.... You must learn quick in this game lad, you don't take swipes at those further up the chain because everyone knows someone who knows someone who knows you and bad little arrogant eggs who chuck mud at others soon get pushed out the basket.... World of Tweed 9th Dec 2006, 20:36 I'm with the VFE ad er82 one this, He's a mate and I hope this all dies out and he can get on with his job - which he is we all know he is suited for. I'd also like to say that the article suggests that he was specifically asked by the anonymous lady on the net to send a photo of him in that particular pose. Whether he should of sent it is a misjudgement but does anyone actually know if this was an OPEN forum or a private chat?? Perhaps it is a case of entrapment by the very Journos who wrote the article?? Doesn't excuse it... but Shit happens and I'm sure he wouldn't have knowingly posted the uniform shot in a public space.
