Cd recovery tool

Hi,

One of my DVD/RWs with a shedload of favourite music files and video files went major tits up and I was unable to copy the files to my HD again die to cyclic redundancy checks etc.

I downloaded a freeware program here-http://www.softwarepatch.com/software/cd-recovery.html
It appears to be recovering files to the place I specified but still has many hours to go til completion.

Has anybody used cd-check before here?
I will post my results when Im home from work in the morning,

I have a disc with jpeg pictures on that now refuses to open, it has a lot of pics from a trip to canada on and i would like recover them, anybody got a clue how this can be done? i really need to just transfer them off the disc back to the hard drive and am stuck!!!!
