Hasn't the weather been aviation friendly lately? :ugh: 65 kts here at EGCK.

Back to the meaty bit. The FAA have just issued another AD. If you have a Hartzell or McCauley VP prop fitted to your aircraft, keep reading.

FAA AD 2006-24-07 affects FIVE years of propeller work done between September 1998 and October 2003. If you had your prop worked on or overhauled by a well known, long established Oxfordshire firm during this time, then read the AD and check your part and serial numbers.

The company involved has gone through a number of changes since, and I for one can heartily recommend them without reservation, so don't go tarring them now with a historic brush. And no I don't work for them.

For those of you who haven't yet used the easy-to-use FAA website (EASA take note)

www.faa.gov (http://www.faa.gov)

and then select Airworthiness Directives. Type the above AD number into the Search box to see if your propeller is affected.
