Watched the ITV news last night at 2230. Report of two kids killed - implied by their father. Reporter states they were not able to report how the kids died as "a post mortem is still being carried out".
At the end of the prog the newsreader briefly covers "Tomorrows Newspaper Headlines", and blow-ups of the newspaper front pages are shown. At least two had the headline "Two kids drowned in bath"
So what's that all about then??

Methinks the redtops trade on speculation, whereas the TV News departments rely on proper press-releases.
BBC Radio reporting that the children were asphyxiated.

The North Wales news reports that these two poor children were found in the bath. Police have refused to comment at this stage whether or not the children had drowned

Well if you publish a educated guess it forces the authorities to rush out a statement, nothing like child murder to cause much rubbing of hands together in gleefull anticipation in news editors offices,
"Well that's hours of our programming sorted chaps"
