Hardly a disaster to the civilised world, is it?

Could be worse - Prune might go down. Even worse - Eastenders might go down.

Maybe the Government/MOD/Leftie Pinkos have pulled the plugged on The Goat?:oh:

Bloody shame, but when communists/socialists run the Country free speech is quickly curtailed.:(

Apparently with the recent successful introduction of JPA, wobbly has handed over administration of the e-goat server to EDS....... :ugh:

I thought I'd been banned due to the "permission denied" tone of the message on attempting to enter!

Glad it's only a site problem, looking forward to getting back on there soon.

Rumanian hackers got into the chat room and screwed the site. Back on line now...

E-Goat is a forum site like this but based on the RAF. Separate forums for each trade etc.

Don't like it myself full of moaners and petty squabbles, and they allow stupid avatars.

As ever not spilled checked

There are some 'good eggs' on E-Goat, but it does not paint a very good picture of RAF personnel as detailed above. I hope the press don't read it.

Or is it just my Companys Filter being amended to exclude it?
Says it cant find a Server this time.

What's your beef? Were you a sqn ops clerk? You seem to have issues with J/Ts and FOMs.

Bengo dear chap! I have been away for a wee while and come home to discover the Goat is t1ts up again! I am assuming (dangerous that) that we have been invaded by Rumanian hackers again. Hopefully Wobbly and the lads will get it sorted soon. They did advertise a site to go to when there are problems but, of course, I left it too late to register, anyone know of it's location? As to comments here on the Pprune Military Forum with ref to E-Goat. We are specifically an RAF community, we whinge, we whine, we extract the urine but we are Always supportive of one and other. It is, as we say, an electronic crew room come Mess bar (what you see hear, what you hear here, what you say here, when you leave here, let it stay here). We do have the press reading us, sometimes they try to join in, they get sent off with short shrift. The Mods ensure Persec and Opsec are not compromised and, all in all, we are a happy bunch. Those of you aircrew who think we are a bunch of eejits and would rather post here, by all means carry on posting, we won't miss you! For some of you civvy flyboys who fancy being abused and reading a few "coffee on the monitor" type stories, come and join us.

Well it is so nice to meet a couple of familiar names here! When the Goat disappeared earlier this week I didn't half miss it!

Stax, when the server went down the other week and there was a bolthole to go to I pressed the link, saved in my favourites and left as I was short of time. I pressed this favourite earlier this week and found myself in a place I have never been before - I think it was MSN Chat or something. Well, it was just too difficult........, so sorry Stax, I can't help. I didn't send the link home so that I could try from here.

When the Goat comes back up, I will find that post and follow the instructions to the letter!

For my readers, Stax was completely accurate in his description. If you go there, you may be "turned off" initially because some posts are hard-hitting. Stick with it though and you'll be rewarded with an overall good impression of life in the RAF (soon to be deceased as it is absorbed in the Purple Blanket). Just my opinion though!

Wobbly says:
The goat will not be up until after the weekend. He is in the process of getting the server domain sorted but the web host is being an @rse he has got a redirect sorted at www.e-goat.org.uk but needs the domain switched over
once that is done he can crack on. If its done today then he hopes to get the site up sometime over the next few days.

However, because the site was hacked via an addon he will be disabling a lot of the stuff until he finds out which one it was.

There is an emergency goat at http://groups.msn.com/E-GOATHOMEFROMHOME
