Looks like an interesting announcement early next week.

The statement "Some analysts say the Lockheed-AgustaWestland is likely to win, citing the advantage its three engines offer for combat use and its greater space than Sikorsky's VH-92" is fairly conventional technical view, but strangely no statement re the CH-47.

Exactly, if greater space is the real discriminator then the CH-47 is a shoe in, or the ability to operate effectively at density altitudes above 10K for that matter. Saying 3 engines are better than one is to overlook some fundamental helicopter design and engine reliability data issues. The result will be largely political - again.
