Found this on Rum Ration.

Wkdwren brought this to the attention of her shipmates on RR in the poppies thread (http://www.rumration.co.uk/cpgn2/Forums/viewtopic/t=2311/postdays=0/postorder=asc/start=39.html) recently which I though I would share with you. Has anyone else faced similar discrimination of this nature in the UK recently?

LAWYERS & JOURNOS WELCOME!!!

I was on my way home yesterday in combat 95s yesterday afternoon, realised I needed some milk so nipped into the supermarket. Decided to do a big shop to save me going today. I actually got asked to leave because I was upseting some woman.

What happened to comradship and pulling together as a nation?

Err, has this story been checked out for accuracy?? I have read the E-goat, Rum Ration and AARSE sites and there is precious little detail from the 'wkwren'. Was she asked to leave by staff, or some batty fellow shopper? Did she refer the matter to store management? &c, &c...
Has there been any media comment - because if this story had a modicum of truth in it the red-tops - and the broadsheets - would have a field day.
The reporters creed:
If in doubt check it out - can't find out, leave it out'

The poster (wkwren) posted a further email after the arrse thread took on a bit of a life of its own :
“I've just got online, and found this. I'm sorry guys you've got the wrong Sainsbury’s!!!! It was the Cheshire Oakes store.
Also I don't make a habit of going into shops in uniform but I was on way home from training and just needed milk.
Also I didn't elaborate earlier but I think the woman that complained I Bumped with my trolley going around a corner. (Not hard and I did say sorry)”
Storm … teacup … anybody :*

Send it on to the Daily Mail, within a week the complaining women will become a hate filled banshee wearing 5 veils and shopping for fertilizer.

Seems she was actually thrown out for bumping into another customer.

To be honest if you are out and about in uniform you have to be extra careful about what you're doing as you are an easy target to spot and if this means watching what you are doing when pushing a trolley around then thats what it takes.

I agree with Beagle-eye though, appears a storm/tea cup interface.

I'd be equally as shocked to see somebody from the RN in CS95!:)
