Can anyone shed light on an incident in 1985 or 1986 during a photo-shoot from the back of an RNZAF C-130 of the two 40 Sqn B-727s? IIRC a wingtip light was damaged by a herc as a B727 pulled up - or somesuch. The photographer - on the ramp of the herc - was also injured slightly. Clearly it could have been much worse.
I was a very junior officer at the time on another squadron and 40 Sqn kept very, very quiet about it.
