Hi all, well the day is nearly upon us, Monday 23rd the conractors start the floor and apron of the Q shed :D
We had a good day today, cleared the site of weeds and straightned a doorway out.
We then carried on with the job of pulling 728's No2 reheat pipe, all went like clock work, and it didnt rain untill we had the pipe in the frame on the floor and under a tarp :D
Next job is to test the reheat AMCU and find the fault.
Here's a few shots of the day

Bloody well done, I'm told by someone 'who knows' that it's [ removing said part] is not an easy job.
Excellent pics for us techie types:D

Hi, yes its an interesting job, like most on a lightning, the worst by far is undoing the No2 jet pipe drain, spanner tied to your wrist, four bolts at arms length though a panel only just big enough for your shoulder,(your cheek agaisnt the airframe) feeling for the bolts with the tip of your fingers while other pipes are trying to do their best to rip your arm to shreads, great stuff, :)

Pulling the pipe is quite simple compared.

If your interested I have a few shots of us doing other major surgery over the years

Cheers
