I was wondering if there are any news where ZS-MRU is, a dc-3 that was being sold to Iceland. I know it was at Dunsfold in august. Any help would be appreciated.

VariEze,

I was at Dunsfold on Wednesday and can confirm that it is still parked up there. It has done some taxi tests. Sorry but thats all I know.

Latest info is that ZS-MRU will not be registered in Iceland, at least not for the time being. It seems that there are too many bureaucratic obstacles to bringing the aircraft onto the TF- registry. Rumour says that it will be registered in the U.S., but its base will be in Akureyri, Iceland.
Will probably move north in the spring.
Happy landings,

Have heard today that ZS-MRU has flown to Cergy-Pontoise in France recently before departure to permanent home in New Zealand - please advise?

The aircraft has left Dunsfold to Pontoise as N451ZS. Initially for heavy maintenance then en-route New Zealand.
