I have to visit both Yeovil & Kings Lynn on Friday for a work project, does anyone know which airports are closest to these places. It will probably be in a PA-34.

Thanks

For Yeovil, try........Yeovil? EGHG. 01905-475222 and ask for ATC. It has 1386m of grass on RW 01/28.

For King's Lynn, try RAF Marham. EGYM. 01760-337261. 2786m of asphalt/concrete on RW 06/24, 1855m of concrete on RW 01/19.

Four letter code for Swindon? Don't tempt me...

Nearest would be Oaksey Park, Draycott Farm - or RAF Lyneham?

East Winch is closer to Kings Lynn than Marham. It is active with a maintenance organisation based there but I don't have their phone number.

East Winch data from (here (http://www.pilotweb.aero/content/airfields/airfield.aspx?af_id=9449)):

Runways 28/10 850 x 16 metre GRASS

Scanrho Aviation, Hillington, Kings Lynn, Norfolk. Tel: 01553 840396, are listed as the contact, but they are now based at Old Buckenham I believe. Try them on 01988 861351, they may still have info.

Alternatives for Yeovil are RNAS Yeovilton and Henstridge.

Oi Leave it out! there's nothing wrong with Swindon.

Dont forget that Oaksey Park (EGTW) is Strictly PPR these days. So give them a call on the land line before departure.

The original motivation for http://fly.dsc.net/u/Search was to answer these questions or at least provide a start for further investigation.
