Not likely!

Even though I normally fly in the company of two Garmin 430's nowadays I'd never part with my G 196 as it's such a wonderful piece of kit when flying in 'trad' aircraft.

I've just done the update which worked fine. Only oddity was that Garmin Updater has been updated also. After it had updated itself it restarted and tried to download the update it had just installed. So I stopped it and it then went on to update the G196 to 4.30.

Be interesting to see how it behaves - I never had the problem with v 4.20 which other people had anyway, but still.

Happy landings everyone.
