A nice bit of news for a change.
------------------------------

ALVARADO, Texas -- For three days, 2 ½-year-old Kevin Brown's chubby bare feet took him through acres of rugged North Texas pastures.

He probably slept and hid under thick bushes in some woods, frightened from a brief thunderstorm and the noise of rescue helicopters and searchers on foot, horseback and all-terrain vehicles.

When a helicopter pilot spotted Brown on Sunday night, he was nearly a mile from his home. Brown was lying on his stomach at the edge of a pond as if he had been drinking. The co-pilot jumped out, scooped him up and flew him to a hospital.

That's what helicopters were invented for, as far as I'm concerned. Nice one! :ok:

The helicopter: The most versatile machine ever invented.

Helicopter pilot: The most genuine folk about.

Great story.

Superb and a wonderful 'Good News' story should be quoted to those who are anti helicopter.
The helicopter has to be voted the best invention ever.....just look at it's record in saving lives and supporting humanity and the industrial way forward.

I remember reading or hearing somewhere that, at some point in the 1980s or 90s, the helicopter had saved its millionth life. That really is something for us all to be proud of.

Wonder how that figure stands now ?
