I was at Pembrey Airport on Sunday and was astonished to hear of the death of my instructor Colin Larner. Passed away a couple of months ago from lung cancer. Colin did his basic ppl(h) at John Wayne Airport CA. in a bell 47. Came back to the UK and trained as an instructor. Spent some time at Red Hill Helicopters and in 1998 Moved to Pembrey near Swansea instructing for Dragon Helicopters until they closed down. He then went on to start his own training school at Haverfordwest .. Great Dane Helicopters. In recent years attained his CPL and flew pleasure flights etc for Heli Charter Wales in a 206. A very down to earth nice guy.
Did any of you know him or work with him?
