Help Please with Install of FS 04

I'm attempting to install a genuine version of FS 2004 from CD1 iaw the instruction manual, but I get the message ''Set up was unable to find (or could not read) the language specific setup resource dll, unable to continue. Please reboot and try again.''

Needless to say, I have rebooted and tried again to no avail.

The PC is a dell Dimension well within the system requirements running Win xp SP2 with a NVIDIA Ge Force FX5200 sound adapter.

Any ideas gratefully received.

AA, PP, thanks very much for your inputs. Deleting the Temp folders didn't do the trick but the 'clean boot' did.
