Just wondering if anyone has been to this island?
The approach comes in right over the sunbathers on the beach at about 200' judging by the video i was sent:uhoh: :uhoh: The piano keys are just infront of the sand, so 1000' to touch down zone means about 300' to pilot eye level and he is about 70' above when the main gear touches on a 747. Must be something to see

Well if you search for st martin airport on youtube or metacafe you get a whole load of vid's. Most worth looking at. One of them has a chap with a cam corder right under a KLM 747 that seems a touch low and you can hear the wake turbulence on the film as it wizzis over his head! I will have to make a point of visiting the place one day soon!

My favourite Island, but I think the Dutch might object to your name of the airport:= - it is located in St Maarten, Dutch Antilles :D The French have their own smaller airfield in their territory. I do not know if they have a scheduled service between the two:ooh:
