Microsoft Flight Sim X demo in an Astar... guess what happened...

(Just read that in the French news today, no english version available yet)

Microsoft has organized a press demo of Flight Sim X (release in October) while flying in an Astar near Paris. Guess what happened.... hydraulics failure... followed by a T/R failure quite close to the ground !!
The pilot managed to land the a/c ( picture here : http://www.pcinpact.com/images/bd/news/32393.jpg)
All survived, minor injuries, no real details so far. Congrats to the pilot !

I still don't understand why MS organised a flight sim demo... in flight ! :confused:
As mentionned in the article, it's quite scary to think about the the next Combat Flight Simulator demo :eek:

-Stéphane [laughing]: at some point, Laam took the controls...
-Lâm: I have to say that during the demo he didn't stop crashing in Flight sim !

A hydraulic failure and THEN a Tail Failure? Seems a bit unlikely methinks. Last time a Squirrel had a hyd fail, the crew did not isolate, tried to land too slowly and lost the tail accu in the hover and then crashed. Not wishing to pre-judge, or anything!
