Chaps, just a quick one.

Has anyone out there had their appendix taken out whilst on a flying tour?

Wonder what peoples experiences of getting back in the saddle are post-op, especially doing ACM workups.

Docs have given me a plethora of time frames.

Cheers, TTH.:(

Turbine,
I had my Appendix out rather unexpectedly a few years ago, while at Valley. I was back flying basically as soon as the 'Clips / Staples' were removed after about 2 weeks. Not a day too soon! 2 weeks as auth / programmer is too much for anyone!!!

Regards,

It happened to someone the Sqn a week or two ago... He had key hole and will be back to flying after 4weeks on the ground. Would be sooner unfortunately the op is obviously right where you get squeezed.

Was wondering how this recuperation period compared to having ‘the snip’ - longer, shorter, more pain etc.

Reminds me of the joke –‘what’s the definition of a REAL MAN; one who jogs home after having the snip’
