BBMF Lancaster/ Air Forces Memorial

Lanc just flew over Chippy Towers near Winchester- heading south as if on approach to Eastleigh. Lovely sight.
Earlier this week, I went to the Air Forces Memorial near Runnymede. A very moving experience; I was imppressed by how many people were taking their children and grandchildren to remember relatives who died wirhout their body being found.

They were on their way to the Jersey display where they arrived at about 6:15.

Ahhh that makes sense now. Saw the Lanc transiting south as I was on the A43 near Silverstone - wondered where it was going (so too, no doubt, did the 2 Luftwaffe officers in the vehicle with me ;) )
