Could it be Phil Croucher's Helicopter Pilot's Handbook?

Cheers

umm, that is the actual title - see http://www.amazon.co.uk/-Helicopter-Pilots-Handbook/dp/0968192831/sr=8-2/qid=1157379315/ref=sr_1_2/202-4594603-5923022?ie=UTF8&s=gateway

Mr. Croucher has written several other aviation-related books too, in case this isn't the right one.

You could always try asking him directly.

I understand that he answers to the name 'Paco' (if you shout loudly enough!) ;)
