I'm still working on my "Nvidia dual monitor problem" from another thread (of some time ago) but spend a huge amount of time "on the road" - and this has raised another question.

After months of trying to get HP to accept that my PDA was faulty, I now use "activesynch" to keep the (Microsoft Outlook) calendar of my PDA synchronised with the (same) calendar of my laptop computer.

When I get home, I can also drop the PDA into the hard wired cradle and synchronise the calendar of my office desktop computer.

Now - whilst on the road I frequently (VERY frequently) use www.gotomypc.com (http://www.gotomypc.com) to access my office desktop computer from my hotel room laptop computer. All files, folders, functions of the desktop are fully functional, remotely, from my laptop.

Is it possible to "activesynch" the laptop and the office desktop calendars via the internet link?

Have you thought about syncing on the local machine, exporting the local calendar to excel or Office's pst, copying that file across to your "home" pc then importing into the calendar there?

crude but it will maybe work

If you have a VPN back to your home machine the you could probably run AS across that connection but you don't say you have that available

I've never tried to do it - but do you need to anyway?

If you synch the PDA with the desktop, and then with the laptop, before you leave home ...

... then the PDA and the laptop are going to be more up-to-date than the desktop as you travel around. Unless you have one of those clever systems where folks can book slots in your Outlook diary while you're not there.
