View Full Version : Remote admin problems on D-Link Router

A buddy of mine has a D-Link wireless router DI-634M.

On the "Tools" Menu, the admin settings are set to permit "Remote Management" through port 8080.

The router can be managed locally (from the LAN) with no problems.

However, although I can log in from any computer on the internet (WAN) using: http://ipaddress:8080/, if I navigate to the "Advanced" menu, (or any of the main configuration pages), I get a windows error box which says:

An error occurred on this page. This might be because you are not properly logged in, for example just after a reboot. Press OK to go to the login page, or Cancel if you want to see the error message.

Clicking OK returns me to the login page. Clicking Cancel returns the following details in the error box:

The error on line 2 of http://ipaddess:8080/adv-virtual.html is:
"Expected ';'".

You can keep clicking cancel and get similar messages for each line of code which is corrupt.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to stop it? I have tried selecting different ports for remote admin, and putting the "site" in both my "trusted" and "local intranet" security zones. Nothing seems to make any difference.

Cheers.
