Hi all. I remember reading here a while ago of putting a 'fake' email address at the begining of your address book so that when a virus tries to send to all in your book, it will stop at that first one and wait...... Can anyone tell me what you have to do to make this happen???

Many thanks.. :)

Wasn't it something like "AAAAAAAA" or "0000000000" ????

In haste from Geneva!

Yep, this is supposed to flag up with an address error. Unfortunately script kiddies are getting better. There is no sdubstitute for good AV and proper housekeeping.

Found the answer, thanks for the replies chaps.

A good way to stop anyone e-mailing from your address book is to create a new contact and call it 0 AAAAA [that's zero space AAAAA]; this should make it the first entry in you address book. Do not enter an e-mail address. When the nasty tries to add it, it generates an error message and won't progress further until it gets an input from you.
