Aircraft is now on its way back to LHR after having been to Denver.

It is a shame any aircraft diversion has to warrant the media saying there is no link to terrorism, even when it is blatently obvious.
They should just not even mention it and leave it at what it is, an aircraft diversion!!

There are many cases of the cabin crew in BA not ensuring the ovens are clean in the first place.

There are many cases of the cabin crew in BA not ensuring the ovens are clean in the first place.

Not just BA I am sure that is the case in most airlines

As a basic principle, if a cabin crew member finds that an oven is not clean, on boarding, what is the procedure? Do you delay departure while it is cleaned (I'm not sure we carry materials to do such a job thoroughly). Ground contractors usually do this during turnaround - do you wait while they are summoned? Or do you not use that oven and slow down the meal service?

Has anyone considered the possibility there might have been a fault with the oven itself.... ;)
