Hi All,

anybody got a quick guide/link to the FAA eyesight requirements for astigmatism ?

I prefer daily lenses - but they don't come in an astigmatic prescription, and I find torics (Acuvue) a bit rough on the eyeballs...

Anyone had the same issue - and can recommend a more comfortable toric than Acuvue ?

Cheers..

Hi Bluestack,
I wear Baush and Lomb toric monthly lenses- the new slicon type.
Astigmatism -1.25 in one eye, and 1.5 in the other plus 4.5 for
the short-sightedness myopia.......

Bit more expensive than acuvue types, but very comfortable.
Been using them about two years, no problems, no splitting of lenses etc.

My eye doc is very happy, they let more oxygen thru, the eyes look and feel better.
After 30 years of contacts, I am taking no chances- eyesight is valuable!

Have a talk to your eye professional re the silicon models.

Cheers!
