Was wondering if there's anyone out there who holds an irish issued JAR CPL who did their MEIR in spain and if they had any problems with the IAA accepting it, or if the IAA would accept a spanish IR? Will be contacting them myself, just want to hear of any personal experience first, cheers.

Another option is do the the MEIR with a CAA aproved school. I'm with FTE (http://www.flighttrainingeurope.com) in Jerez and have just completed the CPL/IR with the CAA.
Something to think about...

Do FTE still do modular training, the last time I contacted them(earlier this year) I was told they were discontinuing modular training.

Hmm I didnt realise that they were discontinuing it. The last modular course graduated about 2 months ago if I remember correctly, and there are no modulars here at the moment.

There is also a company called Aero Madrid(something like that) that do pilot training but I have no info about them.
