Teletickettravel LPL-TFS

Hope this is posted in the correct place...

We're booked on AEA454 LPL-TFS dep 1 Sep 06. Received an email from Travelocity to say flight cancelled. I couldnt make sense of what the travel agent was telling me so i called the tour op.

Tour op tells me that the plane will fly from LPL then "touch down in MAN and then onward to TFS".

WTF ? What a bizzare state of affairs....

I presume they are doing this to avoid the compensation claims for 'change of departure airport'....

Anyone care to comment on the re-routing or my assumption...

I wont believe what they've told me until i get the tickets....

I'm guessing that possibly a LPL and MAN flight have been combined due to poor sales. Just a guess though

Ask for full revised flight timings, just watch that you don't check in at LPL and then get put on a coach to Manchester, which tour operators have been known to do and then say you left from the original airport = no compensation due.
