On the B733 EFIS assuming auto throttle is not working, how do you know what N1 to manualy set for climb thrust? The FCTM refers us to the FCOM......which doesn't mention it!!
Thanks

Thanks Henry Winkler 24th Jul 2006, 22:22 QRH Maybe? boelectra 24th Jul 2006, 22:41 Yes the figures are in the QRH, I was thinking more of A/T failure on or just after T/O, no time to get the QRH out then. I know you could select MCT and not over stress the engines but is there a rule of thumb that gives a percentage thrust reduction to achieve climb thrust? witwiw 24th Jul 2006, 22:52 How about selecting the N1 limit page on the CDU, can be done in a flash in your scenario of a failure just before Takeoff etc. The N1 limits are all there. If you are doiung an assumed thrust takeoff, then just mentally make the appropriate deductions to the N1 for either Climb 1 or Climb 2 (3% or 6% respectively). |
