Whilst looking after my grandson and watching Pipkin on CEEBEEBIES, I noticed they use a single seater aircraft registration number G-RAFG.

Could this be the same aircraft that was used by RAF Laarbruch Flying Club in the 1980s?

Would an aircraft operated by an RAF club in the Fatherland have carried a G-reg?

Pretty poor show using your grandson as a smokescreen

T-67 Firefly have a look at G-info on CAA website.

If the aircraft you are referring to was at Laarbruch it was sold on to a flying group at RAF Wyton. There was an attempt to shift it to Bruggen but they didn't want it or even a flying club. Perhaps Wyton have moved it on again, indeed, is there a flying club at Wyton any more?

Actually I had been watching Balamory when he entered the room.

Although I wasn't a member of RAF Laarbruch Flying Club, we often saw their aircraft taxi while we were playing golf. I can remember it because, being in
Royal Air Force Germany, I thought the registration number very appropriate.

Laarbruchs flying club (last named as the RAF(G) Flying Training Centre) closed with two T67C's, G-BLTU & G-BLPI, and a Robin 180/400 Regent, G-FTIL.

All aircraft went to Wyton's Flying Club where - I beleive - they still are!

They operated on UK CAA Exemptions and Authorisations and so were UK registered.

If you ever feel the need to find out about any aircraft on the UK register simply go here and type in what you know, registration etc

Two of those three aircraft survive with the Pathfinder Flying Club at RAF Wyton to this day - T67B G-BLPI and Robin G-FTIL. T67B G-BLTU was written off in an unfortunate accident relatively recently.
