Well it’s the start of the silly season merry go round.. so lets see.. Next Season

Alonso – McLaren

Kimi – Ferrari? (Whilst still moaning about Mercedes Benz) Frying Pans and fires…??

Jenson – Driving School, followed by a counselling course in “You too can admit failure” Honda pit crew replaced by Kwik Fit.

Schuey – will probably buy Monaco and install himself as crown Prince.

DC – As above, delete “Monaco”, insert “Scotland”

Rubens – In a desperate yet misguided attempt at regaining publicity and public affection, will adopt Cristiano Ronaldo as his pit lane chum / Brolly B!tch…

Fisichella – Gets mysteriously mown down in “Pitlane mishap” by Jaques Villeneuve for allegedly calling his mother “A terrorist Whore”.. Fisichella goes on to win title with help from the collaborators otherwise known as “Renault”.

Scott Speed – Sent on fact finding mission to Oxford Dictionary factory to discover the meaning of “Oxymoron

Any I've missed??:O

Montoya : Fired by McLaren, finds new job with Daimler/Chrysler as crash dummy.

Im one of the biggest F1 fans going but the "racing" is appalling and its been getting worse every year...I don’t know if I can last until the 2008 season for things to improve (if it ever will). The GP2 is so much more exciting. I don’t blame Montoya for going, personally I'm pretty sure he could have easily got a drive for next season (He's already proved he would take a pay cut). He obviously wants to win races by overtaking people on the track and not in pitlane.

His heart has not been in it for at least the past 12 months, he’s always been an "all or nothing" driver but his recent silly mistakes are uncharacteristic and display a pure lack of concentration. I didn’t think he would fit in at Mclaren ether.

Don't complain, at least in Europe you have guys who can negotiate both left AND right hand turns...:D
Try being stuck with NASCAR-- around and around and around and around and around...:ugh:

MercPilot: no doubt Montoya can be quick, but, as team managers say, he comes with so much bagage. Probably it'll be Red Bull at a low price.

Hi Capt.KAOS...If you didn’t know, he’s quit F1 to race in NASCAR. He was supposed to finish the season at Mclaren but they mutually agreed to terminate his contract. Pedro De la Rosa is taking his seat until next season when it’s widely rumoured Lewis Hamilton will replace him alongside Alonso (Unless Kimi stays of course).

"mutually agreed to terminate his contract"Tee hee - don't you just love it ?

I believe the phrase "to spend more time with his family" was also used . . .

There has been speculation in the Spanish press that Montoya breached his contract by revealing his 2007 plans without McLaren's knowledge, and that it was this that triggered his split with the team.
But McLaren boss Ron Dennis said the decision was taken in Montoya's best interests and wished the Colombian well in his future endeavours.
"Juan Pablo is an exciting driver and immensely likeable character who will undoubtedly make a successful transition to the NASCAR scene," Dennis said.
"We have agreed that with so many things happening in Juan Pablo's life right now, he should take some time out of the car and prepare professionally and personally for the future."
"So you won't be here next season?"
"Er, no, I thought I'd try going somewhere where I was appreciated."
"So you don't think that you're appreciated here?"
"Er, no."
"You're right! Why don't you just leave now?"
"Now?"
"Yes, now! F:mad:K OFF!"
"Right, OK. I WILL!"
"Good!"

MPilot: I knew he was about to be fired, but not that quick. Stock car racing eh? He'll be back in the back of the F1 grid before you know it...

I knew he was about to be fired, but not that quick.I'm not surprised at all. Stuffed up really big this time, taking Kimi out on the first corner ! Ron Dennis was bound to have had a sense-of-humour failure. (Figure of speech: Ron hasn't actually got a sense of humour, but you know what I mean).

You mean
"Why don't you F:mad:K OFF and go stock-car racing?"
"Hey, that's a good idea! Do you think they'd have me?"
"I'll be only too pleased to arrange a place for you."
"Gee, thanks, Ron . . . "
