Hi again everyone ,
I love PPRUNE website , it's full nice stuff , wounderful information ... I want to know while my readings i found a lot of shortcuts of words for example :
FAA , ATPL , CPL , IFR , ME , IR ...etc

what does it mean? is there any way I found all this abbreviations about Aviation in full words ?

Even our lovely website PPRUNE is a short cut ... :ugh: I am getting out of my mind...:}

ATPL = Air Transport Pilot's Licence. Required to command a multi-crew commercial aircraft.

CPL = Commercial Pilot's Licence. Required to obtain payment for operating an aircraft.

IR = Instrument Rating. Required to operate an aircraft under IFR [qv]

IFR = Instrument Flight Rules.

ME = Multi Engine

FAA = Federal Aviation Administration (USA rule-makers))

CAA = Civil Aviation Authority (UK rule-makers)

JAA = Joint Aviation Authority (rule-making department of a group of mainly European (not EU) countries)

There are many, many more!
