Greetings,
Am looking to go to the States to build my hours and experience (I have a PPL(A) ) sometime this year or next. Possibly to have a few refresher lessons with an instructor also/to get instrument flying experience.
Just wondered if anyone has had prior experience flying from a club they could reccommend that has C152s or similar for hire?
Obviously the cheaper the rental rate the better, but need to make sure there is good a/c availability, servicability, instructor:student ratio etc so my visit (2-3 weeks) will be worth while. I would like to fly for aprox 3-4hours per day to make the trip worth while.
Also, I am fortunate enough to have a partner who works for BA, who has added me to his concessions list, so ideally I'm looking to find a flying club within short distance of an airport that BA fly to from LGW, or LHR to keep costs low!
One more thing - what time of year is best to visit or avoid the US with regards to good and reliable flying weather...?
Many thanks for your words of wisdom in advance!
Jake
