The aircraft has been inspected again this week by Qantas and P & W engineers. The a/c passed with flying colours and P & W rumoured that the engines need ground running only, not being required to be removed. If the paperwork can be signed this week work could start next week as they would like the aircraft airborne before the winter as there is some exterior corrosion.

Contrast this with the approach to the preserved British Airtours B707-436 at Cosford which was ripeed to shreds by a JCB.
