Just wondering if someone can comment on whether there is and is it common to have such a thing as airline contracting a company to hire pilots. I was browsing on the web and saw a few of these outfits claiming to have been contracted by airlines to 1) hire pilots, 2) charge the pilots money to conduct LOFT or jet training and then a type rating, and 3) employed by the airline afterwards. Are these for real?

On the other hand, there are also a few of these agents (I guess you can call them that) that also charges money to send pilots to Part135 operations to fly turboprop in the States or even heavy jets in Asia! For example, I came across this Eaglejet www.eaglejet.net site and saw these heavy jet programs. Getting a type rating and then go fly with an Asian operator on a Boeing or Airbus? Any one here who has actually done these heavy jet programs and can comment on it? You can PM me if you prefer to discuss only with PM. :)
