Interesting that they stopped to have a team photo before lowering the undercarriage.....don't seem to remember that happening at Leuchars when we had a 'mishap'.
Also, note the amount of cr:mad: that came out when the gear did extend, Don't suppose the runway is in a particularly good state judging by how much the B-1 managed to skim off the top.

Any idea why they couldn't get the gear down? (Looks like it worked alright after the jacking-up).

Does the lancer not have a blow-down system as a back-up for a hyd fail?

A pretty efficient looking recovery job though.:D
