It simply said (no subject) '53468'. I binned it because it looked sinister, but what's the game here?

Thanks in advance

It's not confirmed, but many think it is the prelude to some sort of new bot/virus attack, this has happened before. Many people have been getting these emails, I have had 2 myself.

Steve.

These useless little mails are a check to see if your e mail address bounces or not.
If not, you are added to a spam list.

BUMPFF - Brakes (off), Undercarriage (down - 3 greens), Mixture (full rich); Propellor (fine); Fuel (pump on - fullest tank); Flaps (set).

And you are worried about the numbers. Just remember the numbers - thats what counts.

I've had 2 of these, but the funny thing is my own email address appears to have sent them to me! What does that mean, and why were my numbers only 3 figure ones when you got 5? I want 5 if you're having 5.

Bahn-Jeaux That's what I thought. I've got SpamKillerŪ which means I can look at these things and bounce them without openning them.
Unfortunately when I empty them Spam file I have to open a couple in order to delete them thus negating the anti-spam ware.
Anybody know of a way round this?

I use POP3 Preview Lite (only 1 a/c unless you pay) which previews headers, lets you download the message into itself (RAM), and delete anything you don't want before you download those you do.

Got it from ZDnet downloads.
