It's the biggest night in Blackpool's year as Radio 2 welcomes some of the top names in pop to celebrate the switching on of the world famous illuminations. The illuminations...on the radio

The illuminations...on the radio
In early JUNE? Thought the hallucinations were introduced to EXTEND the season?
Don't they still do card-tricks and ventriloquism on the radio? (Peter Brough and Archie Andrews).

Radio 1 did the same during the eclipse
They had a beach party in Cornwall and the Pet Shop Boys had written a song especially for the occassion and therefore BBC Radio 1 was the place to listen to the eclipse !?!?!?!?
